Lauren spent 10 years in marketing at American Express in positions of increasing responsibility across the consumer, corporate card, and merchant divisions.  Key highlights of her accomplishments include:

Merchant Services: Managed over 5 million small business merchant relationships through direct mail and telemarketing.

  • Developed test and learn approach to determine optimal messaging, channel, and cadence to drive sales
  • Awarded Chairman’s Quality Award for impact of new pricing communications.

Corporate Card: Developed new products and services to drive acquisition and spending for Small Business Corporate Card.

  • Led product design and launch plan for Corporate Optima Card and business line of credit product
  • Grew spending and Cardmember loyalty by negotiating savings for small business customers with UPS, Mobil, Hertz, Hilton, and AT&T.
  • Project leader for development of a new newsletter that combined the use  of Cardmember spending data with laser printing technology to create highly targeted and relevant content. Received Marketing Excellence Award for this innovative approach to Cardmember communications.

Consumer Card: Integral member of cross-functional team that launched a major initiative to develop new programs and services designed to cultivate the loyalty of the most profitable Cardmembers.

  • Coordinated Marketing and Operations efforts to implement new approaches to improving customer satisfaction.
  • Awarded Quality Partnership Award for outstanding cross-functional team efforts and Chairman’s Quality Award for significantly improving business practices.
